As the nature of work evolves, it is common for workplaces to bring on new technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency. The emergence of ChatGPT and other Generative AI tools make it easy for anyone to simplify and automate tasks, hence encouraging organisations to adopt these technologies.

What does it mean for the future of work? How can AI technologies unlock greater potential to enhance the quality and output of work? Will AI displace jobs? How will individuals and organisations co-exist with AI?

About the speakers:


Laurence Liew, Director (AI Innovation), AI Singapore  
Laurence is the Director of AI Innovation at AI Singapore. He drives the 100E program to co-create AI solutions with local enterprises and the AI Apprenticeship Programme, which helps Singaporeans develop real-world AI engineering skills to become AI Engineers. A serial technopreneur with extensive experience in HPC, Cloud and AI, he has built and operated several pioneering platforms and solutions in these domains and led teams that IBM and Microsoft acquired. He is also a Singapore representative at the Global Partnership in AI (GPAI/OECD) and the Innovation and Commercialisation Working Group Co-Chair. He graduated from NUS with a First Class Honours in Engineering and a Masters in Knowledge Engineering. 

Richard Koh, Chief Technology Officer (ASEAN, Global Partner Solutions), Microsoft  
Richard is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Microsoft ASEAN, Global Partner Solutions. In this role, he leads the technology strategy of the Microsoft ASEAN partners ecosystem, helping partners leverage relevant technology innovations for their digital transformation.  

Richard’s past professional experience spans the Asia and North America regions, as well as in multiple functional areas including R&D, IT, product management, marketing, business development and sales operations. He is deeply passionate about the promises that the Internet, Cloud and AI can bring to communities and countries. 

Wong Yong Jie, Co-Founder and Chief Software Architect, Glints
Yong Jie is a co-founder of Glints and its Chief Software Architect. Since starting his programming journey at 13, he has grown into a technologist who possesses a wide range of skill sets, including software engineering, interaction design, artificial intelligence, product management, entrepreneurship, and leadership. At Glints, Yong Jie is responsible for Glints' technology stack, scaling it to meet the needs of millions of professionals in Southeast Asia while pursuing innovative ways to advance human resource technology.

Yong Jie finds joy in contributing to open source projects. He is a speaker at FOSSASIA Summit, SEA's largest Open Source technology event. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computing from the National University of Singapore and a Masters in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University.
