Properly harnessed, generative AI tools can prove useful in crafting compelling resumes. Besides reducing the time required, they can also help provide ideas to help you determine how best to distil your skills and experiences into a concise, industry-specific document.

In this virtual workshop, we will specifically explore how to leverage ChatGPT to create impactful resumes.

Participants will have the opportunity to:
• Discover how ChatGPT can assist you with resume drafting
• Learn effective prompting strategies to optimise resumes using ChatGPT and gain practical frameworks for future use
• Understand the limitations of ChatGPT in resume creation
• Discuss important ethical considerations when using AI for resume writing

This workshop is ideal for beginners only (i.e., students who have little to no knowledge of AI tools like ChatGPT) who wish to boost their productivity and confidence in resume drafting.

This is a pre-event workshop for NUS Career Fest 2025.

Speakers:
Megan Wong (Science ’21)
Strategic Planning & Coordination, NUS Centre for Future-ready Graduates

An NUS alumna, Megan has returned as a staff member to contribute her strengths to the development of future-ready graduates at NUS CFG. Her background in Mathematics and Communications enables her to assist in strategic planning and coordination. Curious about the ways of ChatGPT, she aims to support students and learn effective prompting strategies alongside them.

Rebecca Zhou (Arts & Social Sciences ’18)
Career Advisor, NUS Centre for Future-ready Graduates

As a dedicated Career Advisor supporting Humanities students, Rebecca seeks to empower students to explore creative career paths through personalised guidance. With an interest in bridging the gap between the Arts and technology, Rebecca hopes to support students in mastering technology to optimise their job searches.
