NUS Cares supports The Boys' Brigade Share-A-Gift 2023

The season of giving is here. Join the NUS contingent participating in The Boys’ Brigade Share-A-Gift programme and help deliver grocery hampers to needy families.

Event Details

There are two ways you can volunteer: 

  1. Be a Driver
    Drive your personal vehicle to transport hampers to five families in need. Delivery Ambassadors will be assigned in your vehicle to deliver the hampers to the doorsteps of the recipients. 

  2. Be a Delivery Ambassador
    Help carry hampers from the vehicle to the homes of families in need. You will be greeting the recipients, interacting with them and presenting them with the hampers.

Terms & Conditions

  1. If you are registering as a driver, you must (a) own or have access to a vehicle and (b) have a valid driver’s license.
  2. Registration for the event is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  3. The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the event programme without prior notice.
  4. The organiser reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the organiser's control. Registered participants will be notified via email or other means of communication provided during registration.
  5. By participating in the event, participants agree to indemnify the organiser from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of their participation.
  6. Participants acknowledge that photographs, videos, or audio recordings may be taken during the event, and agree to grant the organiser the right to use such media for promotional or documentation purposes.
FAQ's

1. Can I bring my family members or friends in my vehicle?
Yes, you may bring them along to assist you with the deliveries.  Please indicate in the Registration Form how many open seats will be left so that we can assign the Delivery Ambassadors accordingly. Please indicate “0” if there are no seats available.

2. I am unable to volunteer on 2 Dec. How else can I contribute?
You can also contribute to the hampers for this initiative by purchasing the items at NTUC Fairprice or make online donations. For more information, please visit the website: The Boys' Brigade in Singapore (bbshare.sg)

3. What items are in the hampers for families?
Each beneficiary will receive two sets of hampers: 1 red handle hamper and 1 white handle. The hampers contain only non-perishable items.

4. Will lunch be provided for volunteers?
No, however an NUS goodie bag containing a water bottle, a snack and a souvenir will be given to every participant.
