First formed in 2010 as part of the Mosaic Music Festival’s Bright Young Things Programme, Clarice & The Jive Collective is a 4-piece band who is mainly influenced by the jazz genre. The band has played a number of gigs at the Esplanade’s concourse and waterfront. Led by Clarice Handoko - who finds great joy in listening to jazz vocalists such as Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan - the band hopes to explore new jazz-related sounds and make music that makes people want to bump, while keeping the spirit of jazz alive. With new inspiration from the music of Lake Street Dive, Lowtone Society and José James, this band is sure to get you grooving!
