About the Panel Discussion Chairperson:

Iris Yu specialises in microwave-assisted thermochemical processes, sustainable catalysis, and green solvents. She obtained her Ph.D. from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in 2018. Before joining NUS, she was a Research Assistant Professor at PolyU and Humboldt Fellow at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. She actively contributes to the scientific community, serving as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and Editorial/Advisory Board member for scientific journals, including Science of the Total Environment and ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering. She was selected as a MIT Technology Review Innovator Under 35 (TR35) Asia Pacific 2023 and Highly Cited Researcher (Cross-Field) by Clarivate in 2022 and 2023.
