Investigators who need preclinical imaging or irradiation services for their research are supported by resources provided by the Comparative Medicine Imaging Facility (CMIF). All equipment at the core facility is made available to investigators for their research and maintained by Comparative Medicine (CM) personnel. Imaging and irradiation services and support are generally provided during office hours. Researchers who are existing clients of CM, have completed the necessary training, and obtained the relevant licenses, are permitted to operate the optical imager, microCT scanner, high-resolution ultrasound and the gamma irradiator independently. All other imaging equipment (3T and 7T MRI-, CT- and PET/CT scanner and C-Arm) is operated by CMIF staff. For non-CM clients, and for the use of the imaging equipment or irradiator or the irradiation of inanimate samples, services are provided on a fee-for-service basis and provided by CMIF personnel. For more information and to find out how we can support your research, please send us an e-mail at CMIF@nus.edu.sg.
