Works of art or text produced by artificial intelligence (AI) have become more common of late. The release of ChatGPT, in particular, has caused head scratching and hand-wringing. Unlike precursors with limited scope and clumsy outputs, ChatGPT responds quickly and clearly to questions about almost any topic. Professor Simon Chesterman, NUS Vice Provost (Educational Innovation) and Dean of NUS College, as well as Senior Director of Governance at AI Singapore, takes a deep dive into the ownership and transparency of contents generated by AI.
