To truly uplift our society, Dr Ong EeCheng from the NUS Department of Economics and Assoc Prof Irene Ng from the NUS Department of Social Work, feel that we need to bolster not just individual workers, but also their families. And the answer to this may come from the reimagination of a policy – the Workfare Income Supplement.
