Mr Ben Chester Cheong, Associate Academic Fellow at the Faculty of Law at NUS, weighs in on the risk of the generation gap widening when we don't share common cultural references from media content, and how if we all consume global stories but rarely our own, we risk losing the emotional continuity that local storytelling once provided.
