Assoc Prof Taberez Ahmed Neyazi from the Department of Communications and New Media at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at NUS says that Meta’s decision to dismantle its third-party fact-checking programme is more than a policy shift; it is a global abdication of its ethical responsibility with catastrophic implications for democracies worldwide.
