The MVP Studio was established to Enable Commercial Outcomes for NUS Technologies through Rapid, Cost-Effective Development of MVPs.

Our team boasts extensive cross-domain industry experience, co-developing NUS’ IPs alongside inventors, aiming to incrementally improve the readiness of the Technology.

We employ Design Thinking Methodologies to support product development, in the domains of Hardware/Software Engineering, Healthcare, Sustainability, and Life Sciences. We also advise on Regulatory Affairs in MedTech and FoodTech.

Our support spans these areas – NUS Startups/Spinoffs, NUS Faculty/Researchers, and NUS ETP Programmes. Our portfolio includes teams and projects from GRIP, MSVC, B71, CDE.

Recent MVPs Supported

GRIP Run 11 team (Genue.AI)

GenueAI
A project to develop an LMS add on to track students’ GenAI usage while submitting assignments. MVP Studio supported the team in the design of the software, including UI/UX and application development. The team also participated in Agile Practices workshops conducted by MVP Studio.

NUS ECE PI

NUS ECE PI
A project with an NUS spinoff specialising in the early detection of plant diseases through scent detection. MVP Studio was involved in the circuit design of its gas sensor IC board. This circuit board is used with its proprietary gas sensor to detect volatile organic compounds.

GRIP Run 11 Team (tHEMEat)

tHEMEat
A project to develop novel catalysts for the production of alternative protein for food. MVP studio was involved in the development of the pilot-scale setup, working with the project team to define critical parameters and design experiments, improving productivity and yield.

NUS TMSI PI

NUS TMSI PI
A project to develop novel structures that aid in coral rejuvenation efforts. MVP studio was involved in the design, 3D printing, and implementation of these structures on testbeds to achieve proof-of-concept.

Workshops & Seminars

Design Thinking

Design Thinking
Design thinking is a design framework that has been developed by product designers to emphasise what is considered essential when it comes to product design. It describes the process of innovation that allows you to design solutions for end users with a single problem statement in mind. In the workshop, participants follow through the 5 step process of design thinking, guided by facilitators.

MedTech Regulatory Affairs

Agile Practices
MedTech Regulatory Affairs seminars provide comprehensive insights into the regulatory landscape for medical technologies. They cover topics such as compliance, approval processes, and global regulatory variations, equipping participants with the knowledge to navigate complex regulations, ensure product safety, and expedite market entry.

Agile Practices

Agile Practices
Agile Practices workshop is meant to provide participants with the highly popular project management methodology. Learn how to structurally and systematically respond to change, navigate the different team dynamics and the agile way of problem resolution.

Testimonials

“We at tHEMEat are greatly indebted to the MVP studio for their invaluable support during our participation in GRIP11 Programme. Their aid has helped us to significantly shorten our optimisation process, produce a 3rd IP from our research and develop a sound IP defense strategy.”

– Dr. Max Tham, Research Fellow (Ang Group) and CEO of tHEMEat

“The full-day MVP design thinking workshop guided participants through defining problem statements to identifying user stories, and ideating solutions for coral reef restoration in Singapore”

– Dr. Jani Tanzil, SJINML Facility Director and NUS-TMSI Senior Research Fellow

“With Colin and MVP Studio's support, we're much more confident in our ability to transform our vision into reality. Their dedication and expertise have equipped us with the tools necessary to navigate the path from ideation to commercial launch. We couldn't be more grateful for their unwavering support and guidance.”

– Dr. Mabel Nguyen, Co-Founder and CEO of Elocare

“As co-founders of a startup without software development backgrounds, we greatly benefited from Aryn's mentorship. She introduced us to the Scrum methodology and guided us in communicating project goals to the software team, improving our project management skills and increasing productivity. Aryn also guided our software interns in best practices for app development, including thorough documentation and clear application structure."
