01 December
Building and Estate Management Alumni (BEMA) and Singapore Institute of Building Limited (SIBL) has kickstarted a new SIBL-BEMA Endowed Scholarship, with $155,500 raised. The endowed fund will provide scholarships to deserving students in the new Bachelor of Engineering (Infrastructure and Project Management) programme. At least one scholarship will be awarded each Academic Year, with a quantum of up to $10,000.
Dr Teo Ho Pin (Design and Environment ’85), President of BEMA and Adjunct Professor in NUS College of Design and Engineering shared, "I am grateful to the 11 big-hearted donors who stepped forward and raised a total of $155,500 to kickstart this endowed scholarship. It is indeed very encouraging despite the uncertainty of the pandemic and economic situation that we are facing locally and globally.”
BEMA would like to take this opportunity to reach out to like-minded individuals to contribute to this meaningful cause, which will allow our youths to continue to have access to education and pursue their passion despite their financial circumstances. Every effort counts. If this cause resonates with you, please feel free to reach out to Ms Valerie Lee at 6601 3427, or email valerieleemh@nus.edu.sg for more details.
