NUSC Alumni Lunar New Year Dinner 2023

01 February

The Lunar New Year brings an opportune moment for gatherings and reconnection, and this year’s lohei gathering was a particularly special one for NUS College (NUSC) – Professor Simon Chesterman, Dean, NUSC, revealed NUSC’s new vision, mission and commitments to alumni! It was a wonderful time reconnecting with representatives of alumni groups like Class Ambassadors, ex-Presidents, and Management Committee members. Everyone had a great time catching up over dinner, and they celebrated the Lunar New Year with lohei and laughter. This was also a timely and meaningful event, just before the official launch of NUS College. Members of the NUSC Deanery and faculty were also able to meet with the alumni and share about the exciting task of building the NUSC community, and how the legacy of University Scholars Programme (USP) was a cornerstone in the foundation of the college.

NUSC vision: A community of engaged learners connecting across boundaries, stretching one another to act courageously, for the world.

NUSC mission: To break open the classroom.

NUSC commitments: We are open for learning; we put others first; we value diversity; we practise generosity.

NUSC is excited to continue to explore ways to build on their alumni’s legacy to benefit future generations. They are proud of their amazing alumni, and look forward to reconnecting with more alumni at future events!
