PharmD 10th Anniversary Dinner and “Last Lecture”

07 December

The NUS Pharmacy Department's Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) 10th Anniversary Dinner and "Last Lecture" held on 7 December 2019 was a night of multiple celebrations. Firstly, PharmD alumni and friends, faculty, lecturers, preceptors, pharmacy managers and many who made the PharmD programme possible gathered to celebrate the anniversary and, secondly, to attend the last instalment of the Last Lecture series. The series was organised in conjunction with NUS Science 90th anniversary celebrations this year.

The third celebration was that of thanksgiving – to give thanks to everyone who has brought the profession to where it is today. A key person leading this is none other than Associate Professor Lita Chew (Science' 90), to whom the Department is truly grateful for the many years of her contributions as the Chief Pharmacist in shaping the pharmacy landscape in Singapore. Assoc Prof Chew delivered the “Last Lecture” where she shared stories about her personal journey from her humble origins to where she is today, drawing parallels from the poem Ithaka by C.P. Cavafy.
