Armed with a unique repertoire that includes original arrangements of chart-topping English and K-Pop hits, PIEZO offers a colourful sound spectrum that spans from beautiful electro-acoustic tones to dazzling effects-driven rock sound.
Two lead vocals in one single harmony, ShiLi & Adi, is noted as one of the most popular duos in Singapore. Their versatility is shown either in a two-piece acoustic setting, going back to basics with a stripped down arrangement of just vocals and a keyboard, or backed by their spunky band, crooning fun, romantic, and show-stopping tunes with an eclectic and dynamic mix of music from chart-topping hits to classics by legends Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra, always giving an eargasmic treat to audiences.
UCC will resound with happy little voices of Marymount Convent School Choir. Established in 2003 as an SSA choir, the Choir has clinched several awards over the years at the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Central Judging including the Gold Award in 2012. The Choir also had the privilege to be invited to public performances such as the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall in 2012 and 2013 and Divertimento 2012.
NUS Angklung Ensemble (NUSAE) is a vibrant cultural club for NUS students and alumni involving angklung, an instrument emphasizing harmony between performers. The light learning curve of playing angklung and its uniqueness attract local and international students from all over NUS, , making up for over 40 active members. The NUS Angklung Ensemble has been performing at various NUS events, including NUS Open House and CAC+US by Cultural Activities Club. In 2012, the NUS Angklung Ensemble performed in the ASEAN Forum event organized by the NUS Political Association, as well as in its own mini-concert Around the World.

Organised by Sheares Hall, RockFest 2014’s theme is ‘Uprising’, where you can anticipate the head-banging, fist-pumping, ground-shaking live showcases from the hottest bands from Eusoff Hall, Kent Ridge Hall, King Edward VII Hall, Raffles Hall, Sheares Hall and Temasek Hall. When the light dims and the music blasts, prepare to experience Rock and Roll like never before as euphoria fills the arena. This ecstatic getaway is not to be missed!
Formed in late 2012, Take Two has become known for their infectious guitar riffs and groovy bass lines, playing what they call "indie dance rock": a blend of eclectic influences ranging from Brit rock to jazz. In their words, it is more the result of being unable to particularly excel at any particular genre but somehow still managing to keep everything intact as a musical package. The band’s earnest vocals also leave audiences clamouring for more, as they belt out three part harmonies line after line with heartfelt lyrics.
Together, these five boys are united by everything that gets your feet moving and fists pumping; writing songs on the dancefloor (probably during Poptart nights at Velvet) with the bedroom in mind.
Cultural Activities Club (CAC) is one of the biggest non-faculty clubs in NUS. It promotes cultural awareness among NUS students and provides a platform to pick up new skills and showcase talents. CAC consists of 9 sub-clubs including Guitar, Social and Ballroom Dance, Lindy Hop, Jazz Dance (Jazzttitude), Hip Hop Dance (d’Hoppers), B-Boys amongst others.
CAC presents to you popular campus rock band Amplified, the National Acapella Championship winning group Resonance, and campus Mandarin pop band Voices.
Clarence Liew, also known as CLO, loves soulful music, particularly pop, soul and R&B, and cites Jason Mraz as one of his early influences. He has over 2500 subscribers and almost 215,000 views and counting on his YouTube channel. His mash-up covers and renditions are played frequently on the radio.
John Lye is a versatile performer with over 9 years of performing experience under his belt. With a wide vocal range and solid guitar skills, he switches effortlessly from heavy old school rock & blues of Jimi Hendrix, to ballads of Journey and Bon Jovi and even jazz classics from Sinatra and Nat King Cole. John has toured at popular night spots in Glasgow, London and Dublin and headlined Christmas Eve 2012 at the Esplanade Concourse. He has also performed in the New Year’s Eve Celebration at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre as part of the Marina Bay Countdown Celebrations. His performances are energetic and engaging with a touch of stand up in between his songs.
