Investing in the Future of Our Living Planet

Mr Kelvin Chiu, an avid investor and nature enthusiast, has a deep appreciation for the natural world and a strong desire to protect it. Inspired by the successful conservation efforts he witnessed during a diving trip to Raja Ampat in Indonesia, he recognised the importance of preserving natural landscapes. This led him to establish Silverstrand Capital in 2018, a family office that focuses on biodiversity conservation through impact investments.

In line with his mission, Mr Chiu has partnered with the Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions to establish the Silverstrand Scholarship for Nature-Based Solutions. This scholarship aims to support a PhD student at the Centre, nurturing the development of future thought leaders in the natural capital space. By investing in the education and research of these scholars, Mr Chiu hopes to create a positive impact and contribute to the preservation of biodiversity and the advancement of nature-based solutions.
