My late husband, Mr Lee Ju Song, will always be remembered as a widely respected leader and mentor, who freely shared his insights and experience and helped inspire the next generation of financial consultants.
He remains our family’s most treasured treasure. Ever so dedicated and devoted to his profession, he was of the view that the road to success is always under construction and believed a successful partnership lies in sharing expertise and experiences. This positive mindset motivated him to work hard as yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift and we call it the present.
The Lee Ju Song Bursary at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine was set up to commemorate his legacy of selflessness and humanity and the golden service standard that he had set for the financial industry.
Ju Song’s views and comments continue to be much valued by his colleagues and peers for being insightful and pragmatic. His ready warm smile and graciousness were legendary and shall be dearly missed. He will also always be remembered for his simplicity and friendliness. He served the financial industry with great passion and distinction.
Ju Song’s spirit of giving and openness added lustre to the lives of people who came to know him. His ability to listen patiently and his easy manner will always be fondly remembered and dearly missed. Ju Song was also an inspiration to many in integrity, sincerity and in being a peerless champion of financial planning.
This Bursary is part of our family’s effort to keep his legacy of sharing and giving alive.
To Ju Song: Blessed are those who can give without remembering and receive without forgetting.
As such, we hope to pass on this spirit to the Bursary recipients and that they will embrace a dedicated commitment to practise compassionate medicine with empathy and a spirit of giving.
