EMPOWER WOMEN TO BECOME LEADERS

IN STEM-RELATED FIELDS

STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) fields have traditionally been dominated by men. However, an increasing number of women are breaking barriers in these fields. According to the 2019 combined Singapore university intake data, women accounted for 41 percent of the student cohort in STEM courses. At NUS, women made up about 30 percent of the STEM disciplines in 2021.

The "NUS for Women" initiative aims to nurture and empower the next generation of women leaders in STEM. Your support funds:

  • Youth programmes for female pre-university students
  • Mentorship programmes pairing women leaders with NUS students
  • Scholarships for female NUS students

Through this important initiative, we aim to improve gender diversity and inclusion of female talent in all professions and sectors, along with providing the essential support they need to succeed in STEM fields.
