Recognising Excellence

NAMED SCHOLARSHIPS

There is so much more to a National University of Singapore (NUS) scholarship than recognising and rewarding a student for their academic excellence and dedication. A scholarship is also an investment in tomorrow’s world. It helps outstanding young scholars discover their interests, pursue their passions and achieve their full potential.

These scholars are some of the young people who will go on to shape the future of Singapore and the world. By making a gift to a scholarship, you are giving tomorrow’s innovators, entrepreneurs and visionaries the tools they need to achieve the exceptional and the unimaginable.

Scholarships also help NUS realise our vision of becoming a leading global university centred in Asia, influencing the future. Scholarships allow NUS to attract the brightest students, offer them a world-class education and strengthen their ties and commitment to Singapore. These young people will be active members of our community and become the future leaders of our society.

NUS has a long history of awarding scholarships made possible thanks to the generosity of donors. The first scholarship was the John Anderson Scholarship, established in 1928 at Raffles College, our predecessor institution, in memory of Sir John Anderson, by his widow. The named scholarships found within the following pages show that the benevolence of forward-looking donors, such as you, is keeping this tradition alive.

Thank you for investing in the lives of our students and providing them with opportunities to achieve the extraordinary. Your gift will change the lives of generations of young people for the better and leave an indelible impression on them and their communities.
