This award recognises individuals or teams who have represented NUS in a competition and have excelled in the international, regional and/or national level. This includes, but is not limited to, non-varsity sports-based competitions as well as Hackathons, Moots or Debates. The teams' result must be in the top 3 of the competition and there must be at least 5 other competing teams.

Merit Bio Farma X MIT Hacking Machine (Upstream Track)
At Bio Farma x MIT Hacking Machine, the team led by Leong Jing Wesley embraced collaboration, recognising the importance of diverse expertise. They developed a groundbreaking Computer Vision-Powered Automated Bacteria Imaging system, which propelled them to victory. Their achievement demonstrated the power of interdisciplinary collaboration, combining biology, technology, and medicine to tackle complex problems. The competition highlighted their ability to effectively communicate, manage projects, and innovate under pressure, leading to valuable feedback and new networking opportunities.

Distinction The Architecture Drawing Prize 2023 (Digital Category)
Taking risks paid off for Tan Wei Jie Eugene at The Architecture Drawing Prize 2023's Digital Category. His experimental architectural drawing, developed in Year 4, used an unconventional circular composition to convey new understandings of time, ecology, and orientation. This is Eugene's seventh entry at The Architecture Drawing Prize and his first victory, his resilience and continuous improvement culminating in this inspiring achievement.

Merit International Building Design Competition 2023
At the International Building Design Competition 2023, Team Limue achieved remarkable success by mastering AI-driven design software and advanced rendering techniques. Despite having only four members, they efficiently tackled both architectural and engineering challenges. This cross-faculty collaboration required architecture students to learn about structural integrity, while engineering students gained insights into design principles. Their dedication and teamwork resulted in a structurally sound and visually stunning design, showcasing their innovation and excellence in a highly competitive environment.
