Policy Governing the Use and Care of Animals in Research and Teaching

All research and teaching activities involving animals and are conducted at or sponsored by the University shall adhere to the National Advisory Committee for Laboratory Animals Research (NACLAR) Guidelines (Guidelines on the Care and Use of Animals for Scientific Purposes) and shall not be conducted without the approval of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), in compliance with the Singapore "Animals and Birds Act (Chapter 7), Animals and Birds (Care and Use of Animals for Scientific Purposes) Rules 2004".
