After 40 years in the IT Industry, from IBM PCs and the Commodo64 to today's Internet and Mobile Apps, it has been a ride. Now with Generative AI, things are starting to be interesting again as new technological powers are moving into more hands. Even in my semi-retirement days, I am still learning and teaching (a good way to learn anything). Last month I began teaching classes in "Using Generative AI, ChatGPT, as a personal assistant: Prompt Engineering." I enjoy getting the response that students are "blown-away" by the capabilities of ChatGPT and can almost instantaneously see that some jobs are at risk even now.
