Past Vs Present 2018
22 December
Past vs Present (PVP) games have been a very special tradition to Temasek Hall, and has been revived after several years’ absence. The event aims to encourage the coming together of alumni and residents for a friendly sporty competition that captures the spirit of a Temasekian.
On 22 December, a large group of Temasekians turned up early in the morning at the University Sports Centre (USC) to fight for the bragging rights of holding the PVP plaque, which will be awarded to the overall winner.
This year, there were six main sports (Soccer, Touch Rugby, Softball, Handball and Sepak Takraw) featured on the actual day. The other sports were played on other days due to certain constraints. At the end of the PVP, the Alumni team prevailed as they defended the plaque for the second year running. This highlights that experience accounts for a big factor in the performance of a sports team. The Alumni team received a plaque from the Hall Master at the end of the closing ceremony, which they will hold until the next PVP Games in Dec 2019.
