CDE Alumni Mentorship Mid Programme & Dinner Catch Up

24 February

NUS College of Design and Engineering (CDE) Office of Alumni Relations held its first physical Alumni Mentorship Mid Programme and Dinner Catch Up on 24 February 2023 at National University of Singapore Society (NUSS) Kent Ridge Guild House. The aim of the event is to bring together Batch 9 mentors and mentees to meet each other in person, share their experiences and catch up over a dinner. This is especially exciting after a long hiatus due to the pandemic. The event kickstarted with a warm welcome by the CDE Assistant Dean (Alumni Relations), Associate Professor Teo Chiang Juay, followed by the self-introduction and sharing by mentors and mentees. It was a fabulous event on Friday! CDE mentors and mentees thoroughly enjoyed the catch up over the sumptuous food. Everyone got to know their mentors and mentees better that may prove invaluable in the mentorship moving forward. Every successful mentorship is built upon a strong mentor-mentee supportive relationship. Everyone, regardless of their background, can benefit from the mentorship programme. It helps to build tenacity, resilience, soft skills, and knowledge, as part of personal and career development. Thank you to all the alumni mentors for being part of the movement and stepping up as mentors to contribute their time and energy in mentoring CDE students. The CDE Alumni Relations team would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for all presence at this memorable occasion.
