Breakthroughs in Lung Cancer Detection and Treatment
On 21 October 2021, 148 participants joined Dr Lim Chong Hee (Medicine ’90), a Specialist in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Farrer Park Hospital to better understand the symptoms, risks and treatments for lung cancer.
As the third most common cancer in Singapore, Dr Lim shared with the virtual audience the importance of screening, different stages of the disease, various techniques in biopsy and the role of surgery in managing early lung cancer. The session concluded with a robust Q&A session where Dr Lim also shared the effects of COVID-19 on lung cancer patients.
