Korea Now presents 2 dynamic young Korean choreographers in an exciting doublebill of distinctly different works Rest and Modern Feeling. Lee Jae Young is an awardwinning dancer-choreographer whose talents as a choreographer received high commendation in the 2006 Seoul Dance Competition and the 3rd Seoul Dance Collection in 2009. ED×2 Dance Company, established by Lee Insoo in 2010, is committed to creating outstanding original repertoire alive with artistic sensitivity and descriptive movements. It is open to other artistic genres such as hip-hop, contemporary dance, drama and mime and acrobatics.

Rest by Lee Jae Young is a dynamic and unusual piece portraying the image of a basketball game in which the ball moves from here to there without respite. Modern Feeling by Lee Insoo is an homage to the bond between two dancers that explores their first meeting, conflict, compromise, apathy and other everyday feelings aroused by two people working together. Performed more than 50 times, the ideas, movements and composition of this work are characterized by versatility and intense physical movement, accentuated by strength and precision.

Part of NUS Arts Festival, Korea Now is a platform where independent artists from Korea are presented through workshops, performances, presentations and various points of artistic interaction to demonstrate how a contemporary Asian artist may adapt key elements drawn from his own rich cultural heritage successfully to become relevant not only within his own community but to others outside his community.
