As the end of the workweek drew near, close to 100 young alumni got together for Thirsty Thursdays on 7 March at Patara Fine Thai Cuisine to Sabai Sabai (“chill and relax” in Thai). In addition to catching up with friends and making new ones, guests also enjoyed a ‘live’ performance of popular Thai and English songs by NUS student band ‘Nguu Nguu Plaa Plaa’ (the Thai equivalent of the Singlish term “anyhow”). Alumni also found out more about opportunities to learn a new language at the NUS Centre for Language Studies (CLS) from CLS Director Associate Professor Titima Suthiawan and her colleagues.
