The job holder will conduct preliminary reviews of applications for ethics approval that are submitted by researchers to the NUS-IRB. He/she will ensure that approved research projects conform to Singapore’s laws and regulations (e.g., Human Biomedical Research Act, Medicines Act, Personal Data Protection Act, Penal Code, etc, and related Regulations) and to NUS’ policies (e.g., DMP, RDMP, etc). The job holder will be responsible to provide secretariat support to the NUS Institutional Review Board (NUS-IRB) and manage the ethical review, the approval processes and follow-up of all human research studies conducted in NUS.

- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree. Preferable fields include Science/ Life Sciences/ Health Sciences/ Pharmacy/Medicine/ Nursing/ Psychology/ Social Work/ Sociology/ Liberal Arts and similar from an accredited university. Entry level graduates, MSc holders and those with an interest in research ethics/ human welfare protection are welcome to apply.
- Possess strong oral, written communication and interpersonal skills in order to manage cross-functional, institutional relationships and ability to multitask.
- Proficient in the use of MS office applications.
- Able to work independently and effective, as well as part of a team.
- Meticulous, resourceful, work well under pressure, fast and keen learner.
