A state-of-the-art environment supporting world-class wet sciences research

Wet Science Building (S9) is a 16-storey multi-tenanted research-based building completed in 2019, providing wet laboratory facilities for a new generation of cutting-edge researchers in biomedical cluster.
The S9 building is designed to support a collaborative research environment, featuring wet laboratories that prioritise safety, sustainability, and flexibility. Research spaces are configured with plug-and-play features to adapt to changing research needs.
Sustainability is integrated through natural daylighting via a glazed curtain wall, energy efficient air conditioning and lighting systems, and the reuse of AHU condensate water for ambient cooling. With these sustainable design, construction, and energy efficiency measures, the S9 Building became the first wet laboratory building in Singapore to achieve BCA Green Mark Platinum in 2018.
Spanning a Gross Floor Area of approximately 37,000 m2, the building comprises key facilities such as:
  • Wet Labs and Dry Labs
  • Labs support facilities
  • Researchers Offices and meeting rooms
  • Student interaction spaces
