House Assistant

As a House Assistant you will have operational duties within LightHouse. In this role you will have to help/ support Housing Services and the Residential Life Team in managing your level/ block. Some of the duties are listed below:

  1. Fire Warden Duties
  2. Report of maintenance issues if any
  3. Key and access to the mailbox for level and the cleanliness of the space
  4. Support in the housekeeping/ cleaning in the kitchens within your blocks
  5. Point of contact in the level for feedback/complaints and incident
To support and provide adequate information and knowledge in your role as a House Assistant, training and induction programmes (eg. fire drill) will be provided.

You will be given an opportunity to serve the House and be entitled a 10% housing rebates at the end of each semester (dependent on your performance). You must be offered and place in LightHouse and have accepted the offer to be able to apply as a House Assistant.
