Living the adventurer’s dream
Ho Geer How managed NUS Overseas College Silicon Valley from October 2009 to August 2011 and returned to NUS in July 2016, after a short work stint in China. He’s a bit of an adrenaline junkie and should really write a book about his adventures.

OE heroes: Starting the NUS journey on the right digital foot
For new NUS staff, their first touchpoint with the University starts when they receive an NUSNET-ID (ID) which is pre-created and a password slip sent to their department.
Gardening for Good
The eminent philosopher Marcus Cicero said it well some 2,000 years ago: “If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.”

It was a retreat which had all the fun and twice the learning!
OE heroes: Paying It Forward with GIRO
With a student population of more than 40,000 and the growing trend of NUS students paying for their fees with credit cards, the University incurred over $1 million in credit card transaction fees in 2018.
Docent for animals
Weiren Loh, Programme Manager at the NUS Overseas Colleges, has always loved animals, having spent much of his childhood growing up with his grandparent’s menagerie of Pomeranians, Shih Tzus, German Schnauzers and Maltese. That was also the time, however, when Weiren discovered he had an allergy to animal fur.
