Residential Leaders

At PGPR, our dedicated student leaders play a vital role in fostering a supportive and vibrant community. We are proud to introduce our 28 Resident Assistants (RAs) and 81 Cluster Leaders (CLs), who work together to ensure the well-being and positive experiences of our residents.

Resident Assistants are appointed after a rigorous selection process and are tasked with providing support and care within their residential communities. They collaborate closely with Resident Fellows (RFs) and Cluster Leaders to promote community development, enforce housing policies, and offer peer support, including crisis intervention when necessary.

Cluster Leaders, on the other hand, serve as key communicators and mentors within their respective clusters, which consist of residents on a single floor. They play an essential role in promoting community living, organizing events, and ensuring the safety of the residents, particularly through their responsibilities as fire wardens. Cluster Leaders undergo specialized training in fire safety and pastoral care to better serve their peers.

Many Cluster Leaders progress to become Resident Assistants, gaining valuable skills that continue to benefit them well beyond their time at NUS. Together, our RAs and CLs create a strong support network that enhances the residential experience for all residents at PGPR.
