Resident Fellows (RF) are highly committed members of the NUS staff who are appointed by the Dean of Students to reside in UTown Residence (UTR). With a multifaceted role, Resident Fellows act as mentors, advisors, resource persons, and community builders for the residents. Collaborating closely with the Master and the Residential Life team, they actively contribute to enhancing various aspects of student life and fostering a vibrant residential community within UTR.
Leading a dedicated team of Resident Assistants and Student Assistants, Resident Fellows assume the responsibility of providing pastoral care and support to the residents. They also play a vital role in upholding hostel community standards. Resident Fellows play a pivotal role in developing programmes and activities to foster a strong sense of community among the residents, establishing a robust and strong support network that provides a supportive living environment within the hostel. By encouraging social interaction, facilitating personal growth, and organizing meaningful engagement opportunities, Resident Fellows contribute significantly to the overall well-being of residents during their stay in UTR.
