The UTown Residence (UTR) Residential Life Team assists the Master to oversee the well-being, community standards, and overall quality of residential life for students residing in UTR. The teams collaborates closely with the NUS Housing Services office, Resident Fellows, and UTR student leaders to create a safe, comfortable, and harmonious living environment for students; fostering an atmosphere where students can connect meaningfully with their peers, engage in enriching experiences and make lasting friendships.

Yee Han_UTR

Dr Kuan Yee Han

Dr Kuan Yee Han is a Senior Lecturer at Tembusu College and serves concurrently as the Assistant Dean of Students (OSA) and Master at UTown Residence (UTR). He was a Resident Fellow in Tembusu College for seven years before joining UTR.

As an educator, Dr Kuan combines complementary pedagogies of experiential learning and authentic learning to create an engaging and effective learning environment. He teaches multidisciplinary seminar classes on negotiation and ageing in Singapore, as well as conduct many out-of-classroom living and learning experiences. Dr Kuan is also a certified Lego Serious Play facilitator.

As a passionate educator, Dr Kuan has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Residential College Teaching Excellence Honour Roll and University Annual Teaching Excellence Award (AY18/19 and AY19/20). These accolades highlight his dedication to providing high quality education and his commitment to nurturing the academic and personal growth in his students.

Residential Wellness Manager

Joanne Quek

As Residential Wellness Manager (RWM), Joanne provides social and emotional support to students staying in UTown Residence (UTR). Joanne also works with UTR student leaders to organise outreach and wellness events to promote self-care and community-care among the UTR residents.
