NUS welcome students from partner universities to experience academic experience and student life in NUS. We recognise that some students may need financial assistance to participate in NUS academic programmes. Listed below are funding available for incoming international students to apply.

Tan Mingwei Global Community Service Grant

This grant was created in memory of the late Ms Tan Mingwei, who was a medical student at Cambridge University. It promotes the carrying out of meaningful community work in developing countries, just like what Mingwei actively pursued and was transformed by the experience gained through the projects. The grant partially aids successful applicants financially in their global community service engagements.

For projects between May and October, by 15 April.

For projects between November and April, by 15 October.

NUS-UBC Exchange Award

This award helps fund NUS and The University of British Columbia (UBC) students on student exchange programmes, co-op internships, research attachments, and international conferences. UBC has been a close partner of NUS and both universities share comparable education standards and similar internationalisation goals.This award affirms the strong ties between NUS and UBC.

Research Scholarship for Italian Citizens (CSTC, Italy - Singapore)

In conjunction with the Executive Programme on Cultural, Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Singapore and Italy, students of Italian origin can apply for the NUS Research Scholarship for Italian Citizens to pursue graduate studies by research at the master level at NUS.

Temasek Foundation Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking (TF LEaRN) Programme @ NUS

With the aim to groom the leader in you, the TF LEaRN Programme @ NUS nurtures the next generation of Asian leaders by providing opportunities for cultural exchange, networking, community engagement and leadership development. Students will receive S$6,500 during their exchange in NUS.

US-Singapore Summer Exchange Scholarship Programme

The US-Singapore Summer Exchange Scholarship Programme commemorates the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and the US in 2016. Jointly funded by the Government of Singapore and selected US companies and organisations, the Scholarship Programme will promote greater interaction and mutual understanding between the next generation of Singaporeans and Americans, by allowing recipients to attend a university summer programme in each other’s countries.
