Partner Universities For Winter Programmes

Physical (On-Site) Winter Programmes

Students may be considering physical (on-site) winter programmes in 2023. While travel has largely resumed for most parts of the world, students should still remain alert and flexible to any changes that may be announced on short notice. Please continue to monitor the host country’s travel policies as well as any updates to the latest travel advisory from Singapore authorities. Quarantine requirements are also subject to changes. Please bear these factors in mind when considering the feasibility of participating in winter programmes.

To be eligible for physical (on-site) winter programmes, students will need to:

1. Complete the Travel Preparedness Course (TPC) on Canvas;
2. Register with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or your country’s diplomatic mission; and
3. Attend a pre-departure briefing conducted by GRO.

Students who proceed with the physical (on-site) option acknowledge the risks associated. NUS will not be responsible for any lost deposits or expenses (including but not limited to programme/tuition fees, air tickets, housing deposits, meal plans and/or non-academic student fees) associated with travel disruptions. Students are advised NOT to make any financial commitments particularly those which are non-refundable until you are certain that travel is possible. You will be fully responsible for any and all travel expenses, quarantine accommodation costs, COVID-19 tests or other costs related to the measures imposed at that point of time, both in the host country and Singapore.

Electronic (Online) Winter Programmes

Electronic winter programmes taken while physically in Singapore or in the host country, whilst credit-bearing by the partner universities, are offered to NUS students for enrichment only. Course mapping and financial assistance are not applicable to any electronic winter programmes. Applications are to be submitted directly to the partner university offering the programme and application on EduRec is not required.

Hybrid Winter Programmes

Some partner universities are adopting a hybrid format for their winter programmes, with some courses being offered online while others are being offered on-site. Please read the information above under 'Electronic (Online) Summer Programmes' and 'Physical (On-Site) Programmes' when deciding on your options.

Winter programmes offered by partner universities usually start in early December and ends in early January. The duration for winter programme is shorter, however, students may still be able to transfer the credits for at least one course.
