NUS wins WSH CARE Award for exemplary mental well-being practices

NUS was among 19 organisations recognised at the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Awards 2024 on 30 July 2024 under the Culture of Acceptance, Respect and Empathy (CARE) Award Category, for their exemplary mental wellbeing practices. Introduced in 2022, the accolade honours companies that prioritise and excel in fostering mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, thereby highlighting them as employers of choice.

NUS' comprehensive mental health programmes, built upon its Total Workplace Safety & Health Framework, exemplifies the University’s leadership in creating a healthy, supportive, and inclusive environment for its staff and students. The award acknowledges the remarkable achievements and contributions of the individual teams across various disciplines; and emphasises the significance of cross-functional collaboration in promoting a comprehensive approach to safety, health and wellness within NUS.

The efforts to foster a healthier and more supporting workplace is led collaboratively by the Office of Risk Management and Compliance, the Health and Wellbeing Unit at the Office of the President, the NUS Care Unit at the Office of the Provost, the Office of Human Resources, University Health Centre, and the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health.
