Dear Eusoffians,
Welcome to our Eusoff family.
Eusoff Hall has a distinguished heritage and I am privileged to be appointed as Master here, as someone who has been a Eusoffian since 1990.
My years as an undergraduate resident at Eusoff Hall were a turning point – it is where I encountered a big community of diverse and talented individuals coming together to live their lives to the fullest, excelling in sports, the arts and many other arenas.
Since then, upholding our tradition of Excellence and Harmony, Eusoff Hall has developed from strength to strength with an impressive list of achievements. We are known for sporting and cultural excellence at the Inter-Hall Games and Eusoff Hall Dance Productions (EHDP, held annually since 1991 for which I was a performer) and social impact both locally and overseas with Eusoff Voluntary Corps and Eusoff Expeditions. Our robust and inspiring alumni are also a significant feature of our Hall; apart from entrepreneurial successes they scaled and have led teams to Everest.
As Master I would like every Eusoffian to experience all that residential life has to offer. NUS has a world class education system and this includes the out-of-classroom learning that takes place in our residences. Some examples of the numerous opportunities available are through CCAs, projects, initiatives and events with the friendships and bonding that happen alongside. As we grow our community together – with our Resident Fellows, Residential Life administrators, JCRC and student leaders – I have every confidence that we can realize the potential that is within ourselves and positively influence our collective present and future.
Warm regards
Dr. Lynette Tan Yuen Ling
