The East Wing is generally more popular with students from faculties situated further away from the hall, as AB and CD blockers have easier access to the Prince George Park Bus Terminal.

Students studying in faculties situated nearer to the hall prefer the West Wing due to the convenience of the side gate located at E Block. Residents may take a short flight of steps down to the National University Hospital as well as to faculties such as Medicine, Dentistry and Science. Also, the Multi-Purpose Court and Tennis Courts are located just beside Block GH, making the West Wing an ideal choice for our hall athletes.

Each block has its own block amenities, and they include a launderette, a kitchenette as well as a block lounge.

Block lounges are made accessible exclusively to their respective blockers. Residents can expect block suppers, parties as well as ad-hoc gatherings to be held there. All lounges are air-conditioned and well-furnished, including flat-screen televisions, to facilitate bonding activities there.

Most levels in a block has a functional pantry. A communal fridge, water dispenser and microwave can be found in pantries, making it ideal for preparing snacks.

Kitchenettes are where block committees usually prepare suppers for their fellow blockers. They are equipped with standard appliances such as the refrigerator, electric stove, and water heater. Shelves and cupboards allow for storage of common cooking equipment.

Laundrette areas are housed in each block so residents need not fret over the inconvenience of washing their clothes. There is a small fee for the usage of washing machines and dryers, payable via NETS, Flashpay and Paylah.
