Senior Common Room Committee

The Senior Common Room Committee (SCRC) is led by the Master and closely assisted by the five Resident Fellows. With different portfolios under their care, together they ensure the smooth running of the hall.

They are not only advisors and mentors but friends to every Temasekian, providing a strong pillar of support to each individual.

Also, the nocturnal Resident Fellows are definitely the people to be thankful for when emergencies strike or when you unexpectedly lock yourself out of your rooms in the middle of the night.

Professor Tan Victor

HALL MASTER

Professor Tan Victor was appointed the 3rd Hall Master of Temasek Hall (TH) in Jan 2015. He is concurrently the Deputy Head of Department in the Department of Mathematics, National University of Singapore.

A/P Tan received his B.Sc. (Hons) degree from the National University of Singapore and his Ph.D. degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has been teaching in the Department of Mathematics, NUS for more than 10 years. A/P Tan’s research interests are on Algebra and Number Theory. He has also keen interest in using IT in Mathematical teaching.

He has been the Honorary Secretary of the Singapore Mathematical Society for the past few years. He has also conducted mathematical enrichment programmes in many schools.
