PvP 23/24
Event Description
On 30th Dec 2023 and 6th Jan 2024, 140 Temasek Hall (TH) alumni and 200 current TH residents gathered to play in the Past versus Present (PvP) event. The sports that were played and the results of the matches are as summarised below.
This year, we expanded our annual PvP to include several exciting new sports, including Handball F, Football F, Trug (Mixed), and Basketball F. It was truly heartening to see our alumni come together to participate in these additional sports, building upon the success of previous years. Our aim is to continue broadening the scope of this event by incorporating even more sports in the future.
The camaraderie and competitive spirit were palpable as both past and present teams delivered exceptional performances. Particularly memorable were the closely contested matches in Trug and Softball, where teams braved heavy rain and battled it out with a final score difference of just 1 point. Despite the gloomy weather, the fields and courts were alive with energy, echoing with laughter and smiles throughout both days of PvP.
Despite nearly doubling last year's turnout, the event ran smoothly, a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of all involved. We are committed to maintaining this momentum in the years to come. At the end of the PVP, the overall winner is the present. Notably, the PvP served as excellent preparation for our teams, who went on to bring back Temasek Hall’s Triple Champion status at this year’s Inter-Hall Games, marking a triumphant return after 20 years.
