Temasek Hall 35th Anniversary Gala Dinner
Event Description
Temasek Hall welcomed its first 485 residents in July 1988 as a full-fledged student residence. Now in its 35th year, it counts around 7,000 individuals as alumni, and prides itself on a fun-loving and innovative culture, a legacy of sporting triumphs, and its achievements in staging annual productions and charity activities.
Guests were also treated to various celebrations and performances throughout the evening, including a welcome toast, cake-cutting, and a special performance from Temasek Hall alumni band Imprompt-3. Consisting of four members, Mr Amos Yang (Arts and Social Sciences, ‘10), Mr Douglas Wong (Law, ‘10), Mr Mark Ng (Arts and Social Sciences, ‘10) and Mr Jensen Tan (Engineering, ‘11) first met in Temasek Hall in 2008. Since the band’s formation in 2009, they have won numerous university competitions and performed at various NUS and Temasek Hall events. In 2014, they also opened for American musician Taylor Swift's Red Tour concert after winning the Cornetto Ride for Fame competition.
