Portfolio submission
All new and returning seniors are required to take on a leadership role, actively contribute to the development of the PH community, and serve as positive role models for our incoming freshmen. Seniors are expected to be proactive, take initiative, and co-create activities to enrich the community.
If you are interested in joining Pioneer House, we invite you to submit a mandatory ‘Resident Portfolio’. The portfolio serves as a means for you to introduce yourself, reflect on your past experiences, and articulate your aspirations for your time at Pioneer House (PH) in the upcoming academic semester/ year.
Please note:
- The ranking of your choices will be taken into account. Students who select Pioneer House as their first option will be given priority.
- Before preparing your portfolio, you may wish to read the FAQ on Portfolio Writing, which contains many useful tips on what to include and how to write your portfolio.
- The link to submit your portfolio will be available in UHMS as part of the hostel application.
At the beginning of each semester, Pioneer House will hold Portfolio Workshops to guide existing residents through the portfolio application process. First-year or new PH residents are strongly encouraged to participate in these workshops to clarify any issues regarding senior retention requirements
