The Ministry of Trade & Industry (MTI) cordially invites you to the annual MTI Economic Dialogue hosted by National University of Singapore (NUS) on 30 August 2024. In its 16th instalment, the MTI Economic Dialogue presents a platform for students to gain insights into pertinent issues and challenges facing Singapore, as well as an opportunity to understand further the role of Economics in policymaking.
This year, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Mr Gan Kim Yong will be our Guest-of-Honour and the theme of this year's Dialogue is Growing Singapore’s Economy Amidst Global Economic Fragmentation and Domestic Challenges. Participants will also be given an exclusive opportunity to discuss issues facing the Singapore economy with DPM Gan.
PRE-DIALOGUE “ECONOMIST SERVICE ENGAGEMENT SESSION” (1PM TO 2PM)
You are also invited to join us for the pre-Dialogue “Economist Service (ES) Engagement Session” from 1pm to 2pm, hosted by MTI’s Chief Economist Ms Yong Yik Wei. Participants will be able to find out more about the work of public sector economists and their contributions to Singapore’s policies.
Lunch is provided for confirmed participants, and sign-ups are limited to 50 pax. A confirmation email will be sent to participants who have successfully registered for the “ES Engagement Session”.
