Hack your Job Search

When you are looking for a job, the long wait for employers' replies and the disconnect between your actions and results may make it difficult for you to stay motivated. However, when you do get a response from employers, it can also be exhilarating and rewarding!

To make your job search process more productive, you can start by learning some hacks to maximise the use of your time and energy.

During this session, you will learn to:

  • Operate with higher levels of focus despite distractions and competing demands
  • Organise time effectively by defining and tracking personal metrics
  • Leverage online productivity tools to track your job search progress and focus your energy on the highest prospects
  • Identify high-value and high-priority job leads
  • Acquire strategies to maximise your networking efforts to create leads
  • Experience different project management methodologies (Kanban, Lean, Agile, Scrum) and emerging technologies/Artificial Intelligence (AI)

David Zhang

Founder of INTERLUNAR

David grew up in Vancouver, Canada embedding himself in start-up culture and the arts. In high-school, he co-founded several organisations, receiving regional accolades and grants in both the public and private sectors. In 2015, he moved to Singapore, after being awarded a joint-scholarship from Yale-NUS College and Singapore’s Ministry of Education.

In 2019, David graduated from university with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), majoring in Global Affairs and minoring in Arts & Humanities. After several stints in digital and technical recruitment, he started up INTERLUNAR to make digital transformation and emerging technologies accessible to anyone from students, working professionals, to organizations. On the side, David also runs a freelance photography company, working across corporate galas and weddings. As for interests, he is a vinyl record enthusiast, having sourced his collection of 500+ records from across the globe. Lastly, but definitely not least, David is a proud caretaker of a Singapore Special, a local street dog, rescued from a factory in the country’s westernmost tip.
