The good news is that Singapore is home to a thriving start-up ecosystem that boasts close to 4,000 start-ups, with over 220 VCs (Venture Capitalists) and over 200 accelerators across key sectors such as fintech, cleantech, agri-tech and new food. According to the Startup Genome and Global Entrepreneurship Network report in 2021, the Singapore startup ecosystem is valued at a whopping US$22.5 billion.

Hussein is the current Programme Head of BLOCK71 Indonesia & Vietnam, leading key start-up programmes and initiatives that enable start-ups to scale across borders. He has been entrenched in the start-up ecosystem for the past 10 years, working closely with and within start-ups in the areas such as business model development, expansion, and operations management. 
As a pioneer member of notable startups in the region such as BeMyGuest, Lazada, and Zilingo, Hussein led in the operations development and management, as well as business expansion efforts of these companies since inception. He enjoys exploring and formulating innovative solutions, and has been active in contributing his expertise and experience across start-up ecosystems globally.

Genevieve is an innovator who loves to take up challenges and turn them to novel solutions. With a background in Business Management and prior experiences in Banking & Finance in JP Morgan & HSBC, Genevieve now leads FlyORO’s outreach and developments into renewables and decarbonisation goals, with an exceptional interest in sustainable aviation fuels.

Mike is currently scaling the product design team at ShopBack. Prior to ShopBack, he made business software simple at Zendesk with a focus on enterprise, machine learning, and growth. In a past life, Mike ran a design studio called Minitheory, and was also an early employee at a Y Combinator fintech startup.
