Elevate Your Interview Pitching

Struggling to position yourself for a lasting impact on job interviewers? Do nerves and uncertainty often cloud your ability to showcase your best self? If so, look no further –  our upcoming workshop is tailored just for you!

In this engaging workshop, our expert speakers will provide you with valuable insights and practical tips on presenting yourself confidently and effectively. Through creative exercises, you will craft impactful pitches that eloquently convey your unique value to interviewers.

You will have the opportunity to practice your pitch and receive constructive feedback from experienced professionals Ruth and Sharon from My Working Title, a career design company dedicated to empowering individuals to navigate the world of work with confidence.

Expect to elevate your skills and confidence by:

  • Understanding employer expectations and different assessment tools
  • Articulating elements of who you are (personality, values, interests, strengths), why you do what you do (motivators), what you have done (accomplishments) and where you want to head to (goals)
  • Engaging in exercises to hone your body language, etiquette, and mental/emotional readiness
  • Practising interview questions and presentation skills
  • Preparing for various interview formats, including case study interviews and panel interviews

This workshop is designed for students seeking a highly interactive session, where they will transform pre-interview jitters into calm competence and gain the skills to confidently showcase their suitability for relevant job opportunities. Join us to master the art of creative pitching, all within a friendly and cosy environment complemented with light refreshments.

Spaces are limited for this session and undergraduate students are given priority booking. For any postgraduate student interested to attend, please register for the waiting list.

Upon registration, you will receive a digital template to complete your VISA (Values, Interests, Strengths + Skills, Achievement and Attitude). Bring your completed VISA template to the workshop for personalised feedback and interview prep guidance.

This workshop is a pre-event activity under NUS Career Fest 2024. Join us at NUS Career Fest on 20 - 22 February 2024.
