About the Speaker
Mr Alan Koh is the Fair Director of Affordable Art Fair Singapore.
Alan Koh is a key figure in the success of Affordable Art Fair Singapore since its launch in November 2010.
His career in the art world began in 2007 when he joined Sotheby’s Institute of Art – Singapore as a marketing executive. Three years later, he joined Affordable Art Fair’s newly formed Singapore team to launch the brand’s first show in Asia. 

Since his appointment as Fair Director in 2015, Affordable Art Fair Singapore has seen an increase in new visitors and stronger engagement with art buyers through immersive and engaging activities. Alan developed key partnerships with DBS Bank, Volvo, Ruinart, Nespresso and Dorsett Hospitality International and led 17 impactful marketing campaigns to promote the fair’s mission to make art accessible to everyone.

Alan is also an Executive Committee Member of the Art Gallery Association of Singapore, an industry body that governs professional and ethical gallery practice in Singapore and serves to increase public awareness of the roles and responsibilities of art dealers. 

A former student of Saint Joseph's Institution and a Positive Psychology diploma holder, Alan studied Art Business short courses and Arts Management at Sotheby's Institute of Art – Singapore.

He has an eclectic palette for a variety of artworks: from charcoal on paper, to Chinese ink on paper, to hyper-realistic paintings.
