Introduction to Commercial Real Estate Investment and Finance (Part 1)

This two-part workshop series will provide students with an understanding of debt and equity markets and their application in financing real estate acquisitions and developments. Students will be exposed to key real estate investing topics ranging from deal sourcing, real estate acquisition, valuation and financing.

Through the workshops, you will get an overview of the following:

  • Process and tools used to identify real estate investment opportunities
  • Resources and steps required to acquire and develop an asset
  • Methods to value a real estate asset
  • How to obtain financing to acquire the asset

Who should attend:

  • Students who are interested in Private Equity, Asset Management, Investment Banking, Commercial Real Estate Finance and Brokerage

This is a two-part workshop series. While it is not mandatory to attend both workshops, we strongly recommend that students do so to maximise your learning.

Prior to founding Project Destined, Cedric spent over 20 years as an investor and investment banker including over 10 years at The Carlyle Group where he committed over $2 Billion of equity capital. Prior to Carlyle, he worked at D.L.J. Merchant Banking (London) and McCown DeLeeuw.

Cedric received his MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSME, summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee.
