Harnessing Strengths for Workplace Success

What would happen if we studied what was right with people versus what's wrong with people?
- Donald O. Clifton, American Psychologist and father of Strengths-based Psychology

We have been told that our weaknesses present great opportunities for development, but recent research suggests that focusing on our strengths instead yields better results than trying to improve on our lack. At this workshop, you will learn how your strengths can play out in everyday life and how to tap on them during your internship stints and/or job roles.

The activities in this workshop are designed to help you:

  • Leverage your understanding of your strengths to evaluate the extent of suitability of your work environment and/or job role
  • Use your strengths to brand yourself on LinkedIn and at interviews
  • Practically exercise your strengths in workplace scenarios to enhance professional effectiveness and relationships

Come and ignite your awareness of your strengths and begin your journey to becoming uniquely effective wherever you go!

Compulsory Requirements:
After registering on TalentConnect, it is compulsory to complete the Teams Form or your registration will be disqualified. Provide up to three reasons/motivations for completing the strengths profiling assessment and attending the workshop. In the event of oversubscription, selection will be based on the reasons/motivations provided.

Pre-Work:
Prior to the workshop, students will complete the Clifton Strengths Assessment to uncover their Top 5 strengths. It is strongly recommended that you read through your personalised report and bring it to the workshop. Do note that the Clifton Strengths Assessment (U.P. S$30.00) and workshop are fully subsidised. However, failure to turn up for the workshop will result in a penalty of S$30.00.
